The Chinese word for uterus literally means “palace of the child”. Although the Uterus is an independent organ , it is intimately connected with the rest of the body. Both the Conception meridian and Penetrating meridian are said to originate in the Uterus.

There are networks  connect the Kidneys to the Uterus. These are the energetic pathway by which the Kidney Essence nourishes the Uterus and thickens the uterine lining. This relationship represents the pituitary’s message to the ovary to produce estrogen, and the Urerus’s responsive growth of it’s lining.
