Fire has fascinated people from the very beginning of time and Ear candles have been used by many cultures as an effective natural therapy since many ages. Ear candles have been researched in recent years and re-established their popularity. Historical roots can be found among the peoples of many native places of the World. The great medicinal knowledge of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and their degree of spirituality, brought this knowledge to Europe with the professional involvement.

How they work

Ear candles have a purely physical function. A light suction action (chimney effect) and the movement of the flame create a vibration fair in the Ear candle, generating a massage like effect on the eardrum. This includes' a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for earache and headache, ear noise, stress and nervousness. These benefit have been well know due to many years of experience and confirmed by thousands of doctors worldwide. This physical effect is often described after the treatment as a soothing, pressure and pain relieving sensation, mainly in the ear and head area. Treatment may also spontaneously cause freer breathing and improved sense of smell, even when the nose was blocked before treatment. Frequency of treatment

-acute problems: daily treatment till improvement shows, with a maximum of 7 days

-chronic complains: 1-2 times per week

-preventive or as a general purification: 1-2 times per month

Contraindication

In the presence of a perforated eardrum or tympanostomy tube implants (gromments) we strictly do not recommend the use of Ear candles. The same applies to all kind of inflammation or infection of the ear or skin diseases in and around the ear and / or beeswax allergy allergic reactions to the ingredients are reported. This takes the form of spontaneous itchiness and can be relieved with suitable eardrops. Do you suffer from chronic or acute diseases or do you feel Ear candling may not suit you; in this case you should by all means consult a therapist of your confidence for further advice.

Original Ear candles are still made by hand today using the traditional recipe specified ingredients. Slight differences in colour or dimensions are quality features of craftsmanship and distinctive of this natural product. For our Ear candles we use only pure bee wax, cotton and natural gelatine.
